I am a custom designed log home with a in- law suite above the garage and 2.49 acres. I have a creek running through my land. I'm in a gated community, close to Lake Lure and the Tryon Equestrian Center. High ceilings with large wooden beams make this a must see. Home was build in 2008, the garage and in-law suite were built in 2013. Open floor plan leaves your options open. 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. 2 stone fire places. Gourmet kitchen. I could keep going but you really should come take a look at me!! In-Law suite not contiguous HLA, so not counted in total square footage.

Rutherford County, a mostly rural county of about 64,000 residents that is becoming a popular spot for those looking to retire or invest in a second home. At the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the landscape includes rolling rivers and dramatic vistas. Many of the county's small towns, such as Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are seeing increased development, as luxury communities and resorts are built, contributing to the area's economy.

The county was formed in 1779 from the western part of the former Tryon County. It was named for Griffith Rutherford, leader of an expedition against theCherokee in 1776 and a general in the American Revolutionary War.

In 1791 parts of Rutherford County and Burke County were combined to form Buncombe County. In 1841 parts of Rutherford County and Lincoln Countywere combined to form Cleveland County. In 1842 additional parts of Rutherford County and Burke County were combined to form McDowell County. Finally, in 1855 parts of Rutherford County and Henderson County were combined to form Polk County.
