Additional Information

We named this property Dragonfly Ridge, due to my fondness of dragonflies, but also because after we bought this piece of land a dragonfly flew & hovered about a foot from my face. We love this quiet neighborhood & listening on Spring evenings to the whippoorwills or the wild turkeys in the woods. Our property has always stood for serenity & peace, a sanctuary, if you will, from the outside world. We have the best neighbors! We have get togethers through out the year & we help one another when it's needed. Everyone is retired or semi-retired. Our road is a dead end road so the only traffic is the coming or going of a neighbor. Besides ourselves, there are only two other permanent residents back here.

I love gardening & flower beds! So in the spring & summer, it looks like a botanical garden here. The latest project was the Japanese garden in the front of the property. The plants are all perennials & there is something blooming all the time.

I love the fact that we put in an automatic flushing whole house water filter so no going in the crawl space, which has a light, to manually clean the filter. We love the tankless hot water heater! Endless hot water & handles multiple showers, dishwasher or washer going at the same time with no loss of hot water ever.

I have made many gallons of wine & made many jars of grape jelly from the grapes growing along the back porch railing. They fill the air with their aroma when ripe. I have greatly enjoyed the garden & raised garden beds to grow so many of our vegetables. It's nice to be able to go out there & pick fresh lettuce or tomatoes for our meals.

We love the screened porch! It's great for entertaining & we use it all year round. I love to read out there with a glass of wine & a little soft music from the outdoor speakers. It's where all my family congregates when they come to visit. It's a great place to have your Christmas tree. I have decorated it many times using holly from the many holly trees on this property. Light the fireplace & sit a spell!
